Viewing and Printing
Viewing- If the monitor image looks OK, leave all settings alone. If not, set the display settings screen area to 600x800 pixels or higher, and colors to '16 bit'.
Printing- Most of the topo maps are formatted as landscape with 757(w) x 568(h) pixels, most Line maps 1600(w)x1200(h) pixels. Direct printing from the MSIE or Netscape Browser will result in portions of the image being lost. (These Browsers appear to be limited to 725(w) x 950(h) pixels per printed page. The portion of the image exceeding 725 pixels in width will be lost)
To print a hard copy of a map or photo image from this website, copy or save the image file from your browser to your desktop or hard disk. Open the image in your favorite image viewer or editor. Print the map from your image viewer/editor using the appropriate printing set up parameters (e.g. portrait or landscape) if necessary. It is useful to use a color printer if you have one as all of the roads and trails have non-conflicting colors from end to end.
