Willow Ridge Spring

The Willow Ridge Spring was recently restored to service by the Landmark Volunteers (LMV_2003) in June 2003.  The spring had been out of service for many years due to inaccessibility.  The realignment of the upper portion of the Willow Ridge Trail, another LMV_2003 activity, made this restoration possible.    This spring is a key source of water for backcountry travelers moving between Headquarters and the Eastern areas of Coe Park.  The nearest sources of water are Coyote Creek, 1.5mi & 1000' below to the West, Coit Lake 4mi South, and Mississippi Lake 4mi North.  Rat spring is not a reliable source.  The water flow from this spring is generally reliable but very slow.  All water should be filtered or treated.

An overgrown trail heading West from the spring leads to a camp site several hundred yards away.  The views from this site are spectacular
