The Rose Spring consists of a concrete trough which collects water seeping out of the hillside.   The Rose Spring is located in the Pacheco Headwater drainage, North of  Pacheco Camp, at the West end of the Rose Spring Trail.  The Rose Spring provides  a seasonal flow for wild life (not hikers) in normal rain years.  Backcountry travelers will find a more reliable source of water at the Canteen or Pacheco Camp Springs. 

10-00 Status: Good water flow; trough leaks; .25 inches of water in trough and small puddles of water adjacent to trough.
