Coe's Ponds

Coe park has dozens of small ponds, many of  which provide year-around water to wildlife during normal-rain years.  Back-country travelers should not plan on using these ponds for acquiring water on long trips.  Most are very muddy due to pig activity and water is generally to muddy to filter.  Some of these ponds have visible springs adjacent to the pond itself.  The water from these springs often seeps out of the hillside and is usually inaccessible.
