Pacheco Camp

The Pacheco Camp is the headquarters and staging area for the 'Coe Park Springs Maintenance Team' activities.  After spending long hours installing, repairing and cleaning out tanks, troughs, and spring boxes; clearing brush, removing barbed wire, installing signs and/or trimming trails, returning to the Pacheco Camp allows time to visit, have snacks, prepare dinner and enjoy socializing and singing around the evening campfire.

The Spring Maintenance Team has spent considerable time and effort in restoring and maintaining this location.  During 2000 the buildings were given a fresh coat of paint which was donated by one of the members.  In addition, the window screens were replaced, some of the flooring tile was replaced,  a shower room was constructed and a new cooking stove installed.  Major site cleanup was also performed.

The water source for the Pacheco Camp is located over a mile away at the Live Oak Spring site.  Two holding tanks are located at the Camp to assure a constant supply of water.
