Elderberry Spring |
The Elderberry Spring is a good water resource. The pond becomes a muddy spot in mid-summer. The site is located near the Jackson & Elderberry Spring Trail Intersection. This site had been out of service for several months during the Fall of 1998 due to pig damage and was restored by members of the 'Coe Park Spring Maintenance Team' on 1-15-99. Spring pipes were replaced with salvaged 1 1/2" steel pipes. An overflow pipe was added to eliminate a hazardous swampy area around the trough. The damaged Trough was replaced.
