In
June 2003, eleven high school students from the Landmark Volunteer
organization (LMV) spent two weeks in Coe Park restoring and maintaining
springs, creating and brushing trails, installing trail signs, and
removing barbed wire. The work performed by these volunteers will be
long remembered and appreciated by hikers, bikers, backpackers,
fishermen and other backcountry travelers in Coe Park. The Spring
Maintenance Team wishes to express their deep appreciation for all of
their hard work. It was a joy working with these students.
